Ok so you should probably read a bit about this but if you can I recommend getting a Montessori mobile set BEFORE your baby is born so you’re ready to use it as soon as they arrive. The mobiles are designed for different stages of development based on your babies age. Since they are on their back for the first few months these mobiles not only help keep them engaged and entertained but also aid in their visual and spatial development. Not a must, but if you can I suggest getting them.

Ok, so you can literally write an entire blog post about strollers and which one to buy. It was one of the more difficult purchase decisions we had to make because there is just so much info and you want to get the best quality for the best price. The tldr is, you want the Bugaboo Bee 6. There are other fancier looking models like Cybex, but I think the Bee 6 is best value for money. If traveling is super important and you want a lightweight version that can literally go as a carry on in a place, you want the Babyzen Yoyo 2. For the Bee6 you don’t need the bassinet so don’t waste your money. So to summarize: Best overall: Bee 6 Most fashionable: whatever Cybex model you like Most lightweight and portable: Babyzen Yoyo2

Lovevery Play Gym

Every newborn needs a play gym because they spend the first several months of their life just lying on their back. The Lovevery Play Gym is the best IMO. Babies can’t see color and their vision is terrible when they’re born so this play gym is perfect as it comes with black and white flash cards with shapes, people and animals, and also a mirror. The mat is textured which is awesome once they start doing tummy time and they also have several toys you can hang on the gym so they can try to touch them. I love this gym and recommend it without hesitation.

Swaddle Up

Newborns need a sleeping bag because you can’t give them a blanket and they need to be in their crib sleeping in their back. They also make involuntary hand movements all the time and can easily scratch their own face. Swaddle up is designed to keep your baby safe, warm, and feeling safe. It has hand inserts like mittens and is snug to make the baby feel as if they are being held. I loved the Swaddle Up when we were using it and highly recommend it. You’ll eventually outgrow it and will need a different sleeping bag without the hand guards, which the brand also sells.

You’ll need a baby monitor and there are a ton of options but I have this one from Amazon. It connects to your wifi and you can view it from anywhere and any device. It’s incredible value for money and I recommend this unless you want to spend $100-$250 on a baby monitor.

Pigeon Silicone Coating Glass Baby Bottle

You’ll need a baby bottle and if possible you want to avoid anything made of plastic. Pigeon makes very good quality glass bottles with a silicone coating making it easy and less hot to hold. Highly recommended. These the nipple also matches the Pigeon breast pump which is another recommendation. I suggest you buy 2-3 of these.

Konny Baby Sling

This is a baby carrier for the newborn phase which comes as close to possible to having the baby feel like they are in the tummy. You’ll only use this for the newborn phase but it’s not super expensive and totally worth it. It will feel complicated to put on at first but after a few tries it will be easy. I highly recommend this.

Baby cribs are another rabbit hole that you can go down but the one we used was Yamatoya 3 Open. It was the taller version. It’s super easy to open and very secure. We ended up renting ours and just buying the mat because you won’t need it forever. If I have to recommend a crib it’s this one. Once the baby is older and bigger you can invest a bit and buy a crib they’ll be in for longer.

Ergobaby Omni Breeze

Ergobaby Omni Breeze

I have the Ergobaby Omni 360 but it’s discontinued and the new version is Omni Breeze is the new one and has mesh everywhere making it lighter and more breathable. It’s a bit bulkier than the Baby Bjorn but you’ll probably end up using it for longer. For the pure newborn phase I recommend Conny which is as close to being in the tummy as possible. However whether you choose Ergobaby or Baby Bjorn you really can’t go wrong.

Nuk Pacifier

This is the only pacifier brand you need. They have a ton of cute designs and they cost nothing. Buy at least 3 of these because they will drop them and get them dirty etc. We didn’t use pacifiers much but also had them ready if needed.
